The SDG Solveathon is SINZ's flagship two-day case competition. We partner with multiple large companies to co-design case briefs based on a real issue their organisation is facing . The case briefs also tie this business problem to a social issue captured by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
3 SDGS. 3 COMPANIES. 3 SOLUTIONS
Each company is paired with a different SDG and has its own case brief. Each team of students selects one company and is tasked with developing an innovative solution that solves the problem posed.
Each team is required to create a seven minute presentation (plus Q&A) to present their solution to judges from their chosen company. Each company is in its own separate category, with five teams in each category. A winner will be selected from each category to progress to the FINALS.
3 SDGS. 3 COMPANIES. 3 SOLUTIONS. The winner from each category will present to an independent panel of judges in the final to determine the overall winner of the competition.
The winner of each category will receive the company prize and will have the opportunity to present their idea to the Executive team of that company. This allows you to directly contribute your idea to their organisation.
The overall winner of the SDG SOLVEATHON 2020 receives the Grand Prize sponsored by Red Bull which is valued at up to $2,000.
